Subterranean termite management in Indonesia – current practice, challenges, and opportunities

Bramantyo Wikantyoso started his career as a pest control operator and was in charge for the pest management in the industrial district in the eastern parts of Jakarta, Indonesia. Currently, Brama is a full-time researcher at National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and a termite enthusiast. Most of his time has been spent by looking termite in detail through tons of magnifier. Brama major works concentrated in morphological adaptation, functional anatomy, and behavior of termite, particularly subterranean termite as a pest. Brama has been involved in the exploration and management study of pest termite in Indonesia since 2017.
