Intan Ahmad

Intan Ahmad, a Professor of Entomology at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia. His research primarily targets Aedes aegypti, the dengue vector, focusing on vector surveillance systems, and insect sterile techniques. Intan served on Indonesia's Pesticide Commission, the Expert Committee for Vector Control at the Ministry of Health, and is currently on a taskforce combating arboviruses. His past roles include Director General of Learning and Student Affairs at the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, and acting rector of Jakarta State University. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Ph.D. in Entomology), he has authored over 60 academic publications.
