Dr. Scotty Yang is currently an Assistant Professor at Department of
Entomology, Virginia Tech, USA. He has active research programs centered
around invasive ants, spanning from behavior, microbial interactions to
innovative management. He has authored or co-authored more than 60 peer-
reviewed journal articles including a few in high-profile journals. Dr. Yang has
vast experience working with and engaging the invasive species regulatory
agencies in various countries where he was involved to develop invasive ant
operating manual for monitoring, surveillance, and control. Dr. Yang is looking
forward to work with interested folks in SE to strengthen regional fire ant
readiness.
